Over the past couple of days there has been no news or press releases of the murder of Mariko Akitaya whose body was discovered Wednesday morning, July 29, 2015 floating in a cove of Koajiro Bay in Miura, Japan. This is probably where Gregory Gumo is being held as a suspect in the murder of Mariko Akitaya during the investigation because it is closest to the crime scene in the cove in Koajiro Bay. Gumo was originally arrested for “abandoning a body” but than shortly thereafter was brought to the prosecutor’s office for being a suspect in the murder. The last news was published on August 11 only stating that:
“Investigators from the Misaki Police Station are now attempting to understand whether the drug played a role in the death of Akitaya, a 42-year-old resident of Tokyo’s Meguro Ward.”
Just as expected this case will disappear and in the next couple of weeks no one will remember while those immediately connected to this murder will go on in life with their trauma. It would be interesting to find out whether or not Gumo’s Japanese wife is visiting him in this jail cell at this police station. If she does visit him everything they discuss will be monitored so there will be very little discussed between them. Misaki Police Station is in Miura and that’s a bit of a drive from their home in Yokohama. The father of Gumo’s Japanese wife must be extremely embarrassed by this murder if it turns out that Gumo actually murdered Mariko Akitaya. Gumo at one time worked in the company his father-in-law is an executive at. As one commentator at this blog has mentioned: F#cking nepotism. Nepotism indeed. It’s now coming back to bite this guy right in the exposed butt.
The Misaki Police Station in Miura, Japan where Gregory Gumo is probably being held is very close to Koajiro Bay. I am wondering if the police are taking Gumo to where Akitaya’s body was discovered to illicit in Gumo his reaction which is monitored very closely for the slightest response.
And now, The Truth…
