President Obama arrives in Japan for the G7 Summit and will meet PM Shinzo Abe tonight

In 20 minutes, US President Obama and Japan’s PM Shinzo Abe will meet at a hotel to discuss among other matters, the murder of Rina Shimabukuro by Kenneth Franklin (Gadson) Shinzato. The meeting was prearranged to open initial negotiations between Japan and the US. Welcome to Japan, President Barack Obama. Trade, politics, economics and diplomacy will be on the agenda with President Obama scheduled to visit the city of Hiroshima. An estimated 23,000 Japanese police have been mobilized around the area where the G7 Summit will be held. Alright, let’s get on with the big show.

Tokoname, Japan | AFP – Barack Obama arrived in Japan on Wednesday for a Group of Seven summit, kicking off a historic visit which will also take him to the atomic-bombed city of Hiroshima.

Obama is set to be the first US president to visit the city after it was destroyed in the 1945 nuclear attack in the final days of World War II.
