Ajisai (紫陽花) flowers beginning to bloom as the rainy season moves into Japan from the south

紫陽花

紫陽花

And now, a little beauty in the face of so much ugliness in the world, like the ugliness extruded from central banks. The Ajisai (紫陽花) flowers are starting to bloom as the rainy season is about to move into Japan from the south beginning usually during mid-June in recent years to the middle of July. The image here was taken today outside the offices I work at in Guma, Prefecture. This time of the year is an annual ritual for me after having visited the Ajisai gardens in Kamakura years ago.
