“Celibacy syndrome” in Japan reaches all time high

A lot of news recently on Japan’s shrinking population mostly due to an aging population who aren’t being replaced by births, and many young Japanese preferring not to get married. This news appeared discussing just how many Japanese people under the age of 35 have never had sex. The article then goes on to describe some of the reasons why. As hard as it is to believe, many young Japanese are simply turning to masturbation clubs or robots for intimacy. And while it may sound hysterical, this growing trend is “a problem the government of Japan says is only getting worse, and could have dire consequences on Japan — and the world”. If anyone has any solutions I am all ears on how to increase the incentive for having sex as the number of sexless Japanese has reached an all time high.

In an era where dating is at your fingertips, one part of the world is losing interest in conventional relationships altogether.

For a country with more than 127 million people, very few are choosing to go on a date, or even get intimate with another person.

In fact, the national “turn off” is growing so rapidly, that almost half of those under 40 in Japan are still virgins.

Basically, sex is no longer a priority for the younger demographic. A “celibacy syndrome” which could have huge effects beyond its borders.
